There is a very humorous beginning to this episode of Sliders called “Eye of the Storm”. The camera pans into this Spanish pueblo style of house and then we see the Sliders walking the walk but there is something different. Mallory has this crazy looking native straw hat on and is carrying a staff.

He’s chanting some ridiculous nonsense.

Diana tells him he can’t affect the weather by doing these pagan rituals.

The rest of the Sliders are making fun of it as well but he continues. All of a sudden this massive wall of water comes to be and this garners some disbelieving looks on their faces. But it turns out not to be what they thought it was.

Mallory gives up on affecting the weather by performing pagan rituals. The Sliders window opens.

They come into this world where the return of Oberon Geiger has happened. He has created another bubble type universe on this world where he can be a somewhat fixed corporeal state. He is still in stock and hasn’t figured out how to solve his unstuck problem.

The Sliders come into this new world and don’t know what is going on.

They don’t see any people around but they do see a storm and lightning crackling close by. Then they see someone running. The guy goes right up to the red energy barrier and the sliders know something is wrong. He looks like Oberon Geiger but is spouting some crazy things about being a sinner.

He looks at them and doesn’t know them. Then he walks into the energy barrier and is killed.

The Sliders obviously wonder what is going on in this place so they go to their familiar Chandler Hotel. They’re hoping to find some food and supplies so they can lay low until the next slide. But as we know from watching the show that’s never going to happen.

Maggie and Rembrandt go out to do recon.

Diana and Mallory go up to see the big man upstairs. Oberon Geiger turns out to be this guy.

He confesses to Diana that none of his solutions or theories are panning out. He has given up on working to get himself unstuck. The energy field he has created is collapsing and when this happens he will be dead.

He says he can get Mallory separated from Quinn and so they believe him.

But what he’s been attempting to do is merge himself with the people on this world. The results have been disastrous to say the least. It’s like something out of a Frankenstein horror movie. These people come back disfigured or worse.

So the merging process has failed but he attempts it one last time on Mallory. They discover what he is doing and stop him just in the nick of time.

There’s only about 10 minutes left on this energy bubble before it completely collapses and kills Oberon. He says he can get the 2 Quinns separated once again so they give him one last try. But they have been merged too long and are now like conjoined twins. So if they are separated the other one will die.

They decide to keep Mallory because Quinn wouldn’t want to be responsible for someone’s death.

The doctor agrees to get everyone else home. He informs them that he brought them there basically as lab rats and so can send them back to their own worlds whenever he chooses.

So the Sliders get out of there relatively unscathed and the rest of the innocent bystanders return to their own worlds.

Almost immediately after the Sliders leave the energy bubble collapses and Geiger is no more.
